LEISURE SOCIETY | SPRING COLLECTION 2017
The preservation of the Ama free-diving heritage and not losing the historical technique to the modernization of catching pearls, heavily relates to Baum’s aberration to disposable fashion. Only using heirloom fine quality materials like gold-plated titanium, polarized CR-39 lenses with a hydrophobic and diamond-cast coating – Baum carefully crafted 3 frames (Ceylon, Akoya, Saville) and 2 new colors (Onyx, Pearl). To complete the collection, there are 2 additional frames (Gambier, Cortez) along with the design of 2 new acetate clips.
If you are eager, to get a closer look at the new frames – which are by the way named after a historically rich pear bedded island, an oyster known for pearl cultivation and William Saville-Kent, a British marine biologist – make sure to visit Leisure Society and Shane Baum at Silmo in Paris.
