ANDY WOLF // LOVE POTSE CAMPAIGN
ANDY WOLF EYEWEAR launched the new campaign of the design collection LOVE with the name “POTSE”, which is a homage to the new home of the creative office at Potsdamer Straße 105 in Berlin.
Potsdamer Straße in the heart of Berlin is considered one of the capital’s best known streets. In the 18th century it was established as a Chaussee of Prussia and led from Berlin Palace directly to the royal summer residence in Potsdam. Theodor Fontane also lived here, as did actress Marlene Dietrich at house number 116 – this is now directly opposite the new ANDY WOLF EYEWEAR office, which was moved into in the summer of 2017. In addition to the showroom, part of prototype construction as well as PR and Marketing are also located here.
Today on the pulsating street, concept stores and galleries meet colourful, multi-faceted neighbourhood life. This served as the inspiration for the designs of the LOVE collection and as the location for a really cool campaign.
The collection includes the feminine cat-eye glasses JAN and ODESSA as well as frames 5086 and 5088 made of acetate. The long, narrow FLORENCE and the edged AUSTIN constitute two concise forms as an expression of Berlin’s nightlife. The collection is complemented by edgy, sophisticated metal glasses: the round ARMSTRONG mini shades come with mirrored lenses, while the pilot styles QUINCY and DRAX as well as PRESTON impress with angular details.
The Turkish supermarket, the Kurfürstenstraße metro station, the ANDY WOLF showroom and the LSD-Sexshop offered an ideal setting to showcase the collection. One of the main motifs of the campaign came into being in the Staroske butcher’s shop in the former house of Marlene Dietrich.
The campaign was implemented by photographer Robert Grischek and creative director Arno Lindemann (Lukas Lindemann Rosinski).
