93/13 – The Götti Story

The Swiss eyewear label Götti Switzerland looks back on two successful decades of design history. The label began with an optician in an old patrician House, today it belongs to the leading Swiss manufacturers of corrective and sunglasses all over the world. From the beginning in the design process for the manufacture of spectacle frames to the successful marketing, which is behind the products, the exhibition “93/13 the götti story” shows an interesting look behind the scenes. Started with a small collection of natural Horn glasses, Götti Switzerland became famous among other things, for example for her to 360 degrees pivoting temples with SPIN&STOW system, which received several international design awards, such as the travel & leisure design award 2013 or the iF product design award 2012. The exhibition shows numerous prototypes, unrealized form experiments, dies from the production but also the current Spring collection with cat-eye, vintage or smart Aviator-panto-glasses. The exhibition can be seen until April 20 at Götti + Niederer on Mühleplatz 1 in Lucerne.
