WHITE HEAT

WHITE HEAT is the minimalist design concept from ANDY WOLF EYEWEAR where the acetate nose bridge is a typical feature. The Austrians are reflecting on their beginnings with the new collection and the nose bridge is therefore experiencing a renaissance as a design highlight. Oversized pilot-shaped nylor glasses, progressive cat eye glasses and classic models too are given an avant-garde look with the new nose piece. A cool copper tone and colour coordinated acetate were mainly worked with for the colour selection. We selected the Baltic Sea island of Rügen for this season’s new campaign. The “Kurmuschel” concert pavilion by the building contractor Ulrich Müther, who was famous for constructing shell-shaped buildings, is situated in the town of Sassnitz. The deceased German construction engineer is one of the visionaries of architectural modernism. He created and built approximately 74 shell-shaped buildings. The music pavilion’s futuristic shape combined with the pounding waves breaking on the coast provides a surreal mood. The androgynous models were directed by the photographer Denise Bodden.
