Calling all alpine mountain bikers, solo free climbers, white water enthusiasts, ski aficionados and base jumpers: bollé is launching a new Alpine Collection that packs a punch – not only for hardcore mountaineers. The collection’s three illustriously named models are the Diablo, Rainier and Ouray styles, offering fog-free vision thanks to the built-in bFlow ventilation system. And for those rugged conditions out there at high altitudes, bollé engineers have added B-Clear lenses to the mix, crafted from shatterproof Trivex. Securing a tight fit even on steep climbs and even steeper downhill runs, the temple tips and adjustable nose pads are coated with hydrophilic thermo grip coating. And in true bollé tradition, all three models can be equipped with prescription lenses. All styles in the Alpine Collection are available in four colors and five lens variations, also including photo-chromatic or polarized lenses.
European mountain enthusiasts may raise an eyebrow at the strange product names for these bollé mountain glasses. These aren’t known mountain ranges in the Alps, are they? Correct, but mountain ranges just the same! Diablo, Rainier and Ouray are all mountains in the Western United States. And after all, a week of mountain climbing out there can be perfectly combined with a sunny beach weekend in Venice! In that case, you can leave your extra pair of sunglasses at home: These three bollé shades are just as lifestyle-appropriate on the beach as they are functional up in thin air. So no matter what the environment – these styles will always be the sure mark of a real high roller!
