For this season, Karl Lagerfeld offers a new spin on a CHANEL icon: the signature chain, known from the iconic CHANEL handbag handles. Now implemented into sunglasses and prescription optics, the chain plays a central role as the temple of the frames. Variations include an extra-wide version in biker chic and petite frames for a graceful, feminine look covering all aspects of the design spectrum: from lofty butterfly frames, to oversized square movie star lenses, dazzling cat-eyes all the way to classic cuts and aviator frames. These exclusive frames make playful use of vintage metallic effects, while the acetate versions offer an entirely new color palette. The resulting whole is a polished, coherent look with a sure hand for timeless elegance, all the way to the polarized lenses. As the face for the new collection, Karl Lagerfeld chose no other than his long-time muse, Claudia Schiffer – intense and full of mystery.
