Escada Sightsavers

Escada Sightsavers

Sightsavers is an initiative aimed at helping people in danger of losing their eyesight. An estimated 45 million people in the world suffer from blindness, and 80% of these cases are preventable or could be treated. In order to make therapies more widely available, ESCADA has produced a limited run of 999 pairs of black-and-white sunglasses to benefit the Sightsavers project. Designed in a 1970s look, the glasses are available at ESCADA stores and select partners. The frames are crafted from lightweight acetate and shield the eyes with 100% UV protective, polarized lenses.

The great-looking sunglasses for a great cause are quickly gaining a celebrity following: Franziska Knuppe, Karoline Herfurth, Julia Malik and Lavinia Wilson (above) are wearing their Sightsavers with pride, raising the profile for the initiative by ESCADA and licensees De Rigo.
