As a continuation of the Nordic Light collection, Fleye launches a new Signature collection defined by modern silhouettes and unique colorways. The collection sees 40 new Signature eyewear and sunglasses styles exploring colour contrasts, reflections and the remarkable Scandinavian light.
The Creative Process
Reflecting on the iconic Skagen paintings, the Scandinavian brand FLEYE came up with their own inspirational artwork by experimenting with various materials with different characteristics; solid, transparent, glossy and liquid, to see how the surfaces interacted with each other and with light.
These stunning abstract artworks, captured by still life photographer, Ida Emilie Risager, led to the new designs for the Nordic Light Signature collection. Design concepts such as transparency, depth and structure have been applied to create the collection using a varied selection of materials, from light acetates, to warm carbon/ wood and fine beta-titanium. Each frame becomes its own artistic expression when textures and colors are chosen and combined, and reflections are created.
About Signature Collection:
FLEYE Copenhagen’s aim is to create eyewear that have a strong designation when it comes to individual style, urban attitude, and fashion forwardness. The Signature frames and sunglasses are an intuitive exploration of colour, texture and contrasts, designed for the niche and avant-garde in eyewear fashion.
The Signature collection consists of 20 matching sets with one optical and one sun- glasses frame in a set – linked through shape, material and attitude.
