FLEYE COPENHAGEN WINS JAPAN EYEWEAR AWARD
Fleye Copenhagen receives the IOFT Japan Eyewear Award in the category ‘Sunglasses’.
And the Award Winner is…
In October, Tokyo held the annual IOFT – International Optical Fair Tokyo – and one of our favourite brands had a win. FLEYE Copenhagen won the ‘Japan Eyewear Award’ in the category ‘Sunglasses’. The frame that won in the category Sunglasses goes by the name of >>BACOPA<<. Annette Estø, Head of Design and co-owner of FLEYE, was at the award ceremony in Tokyo to personally receive the prize which she did in the name of her entire team. Needless to say that the brand was very humbled by this accolade.
About the product
The frame >>Bacopa<< is characterized by bold lines and a contemporary touch designed with a sleek inner-rim within the frame. Lovely details can be found on the back of the frame with refined engravings that are added as a cool detail. Handcrafted from featherlight beta-titanium for that super light and extremely comfortable sunglasses feel. In addition, >>Bacopa<< comes in two beautiful colourways – a sleek green/grey tone and a subtle rosé.
All in all, we absolutely love the special and sleek inner rim within the frame, and highly detailed beta-titanium engravings on the back. The combination of the two makes this frame truly special and easy to wear.
