Frames get Names

Nordic styles by Hamburg Eyewear

Ahoy Hamburg! Throughout its history, the impulsive town on the Northern German waterfront has enjoyed a solid track record for churning out cultural highlights. And although upcoming eyewear label Hamburg Eyewear is relatively young at a mere seven years of age, it has been turning heads with a distinct blend of German manufacturing quality and brisk, Nordic charms.

For 2013, the brand from Germany’s version of Sin City is gearing up to unleash a new collection under the title “Frames Get Names.” True to the motto, the three new pieces come replete with illustrious names – Nordic in their origins, of course. Names are important – after all, every piece of eyewear packs as much character as the personalities wearing them. The “Rieke” model combines a Frisian sense of shyness with expressive design features, while the “Klaas” charges out the gate full of energy and optimism. Last but not least, the “Maike” offers a blend of Hamburg’s signature understated style with a simple sense of elegance. Each model ships with its own name card as a reminder of its unique character.

Ultimately, it’s up to the wearer to decide whether they find their perfect match in “Rieke,” “Maike,” or “Klaas.” But beyond the different names of the new Hamburg Eyewear collection lies a sense of beauty that can only be called timeless, and unique.
