Innovation meets functionality: with the patented MicroTec hinge, MARC O’POLO Eyewear introduces a groundbreaking development to the eyewear market. The hinge solves an issue familiar to glasses wearers for decades: loose temples, worn-out hinges, and constant screw adjustments. Those days are over.
Developed in Germany, the MicroTec hinge is the result of three years of intensive research. More than 100 prototypes werecreated to engineer a construction that combines maximum durability with minimal maintenance. The solution: two high-tech gliding discs made from a specially developed material ensure smooth, consistent temple movement – for the entire life of the frame.
The highlight? The precision mechanics are engineered so finely that the temples remain perfectly aligned for years, with no need for tightening or adjustment. Despite its technical innovation, the hinge remains intuitive to handle: it installs much like classic titanium hinges, allowing temples and fronts to be replaced easily if needed.
