Melting Point by Tobias Schult

All types of metal have something in common: they are great heat conductors. But at a certain temperature – the melting point – they surrender to the flames and melt away. Aluminum will melt at 660°C, gold at 1,064°C, iron at 1,538°C and wolfram at 3,422°C. We conducted a little metal analysis with 15 metal frames in our combustion chamber. As it turned out, the frames retained their shapes while the only thing melting away was our hearts at the sight of these gorgeous designs.
