For its debut, the Maje eyewear collection looks fondly to the 70s, an era so evocative of freedom and of a glamorous fantasyland, fusing vintage styling influences with an overt attention to detail.
For the sunglass collection, a modern interpretation of an oversized cat-eye, MJ5000 is comprised of a two-colour acetate frame. On the top half, a striking, hand pressed multi-layered tortoiseshell-inspired pattern is reminiscent of exotic landscapes. Further reference to the 70s is evident on MJ7001 with its vintage, pilot inspired shape. Soft gradients on the tinted lenses nod to the past, while a metal brow bar with the M signature keeps the style distinctly modern, and distinctly Maje. Playing further with colour and shape, MJ7002 is made up of two lenses, outlined by a gold metal rim. The refined temple has a subtle “M” detail around the hinge, another tribute to the “M” bag.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

Drop temples add an unexpected twist to MJ1000, while at the front of the frame, pleating, most commonly found on fabric, has been mimicked as an additional elegant detail.
