Mosley Tribes x Stüssy

Mosley Tribes just announced an upcoming collaboration with iconic street wear brand Stussy. As California-based companies inspired by similar influences, including urban street fashion, athletic wear, and surf culture, the partnership with Mosley Tribes was a natural fit. Born in the 1980s in the Southern California surf scene, Stussy is recognized for completely changing the concept of casual wear, and opening a new era of street culture. Collaborations have been an integral aspect of the brand’s heritage, creating products with artists, musicians, and fellow apparel brands from Nike to Levi’s.
The collaborative sunglass is a progressive metal aviator that features an acetate sweat bar and combination temples. Cable temples were prominently featured on frames in the 1950’s in protective and utilitarian eyewear categories. Taking cues from this era, and inspired by a vintage motorcycle frame, the sunglass represents an early piece of athletic eyewear before it was a category. A tribal print taken from Stussy’s storied archive will be featured on the Bone color way and in the custom packaging. The pattern is an update from Shawn Stussy’s original “Tom Tom” design from the 1980s, which has been re-drawn by artist Kate Gibbs. The style will be offered in three color ways – Silver/Bone, Antique Gold/Leona Tortoise, and Pewter/Matte Black – with mineral glass lenses.
Mosley Tribes for Stussy will retail for $275 and will be available on mosleytribes.com, Stussy Retail stores, and select retailers worldwide. For more information visit www.mosleytribes.com
