As insanity in a higher sense is the beginning of all wisdom, so is schizophrenia the beginning of all art, all fantasy.

Introducing ROSI: the new light, stainless steel frame created by MYKITA & Bernhard Willhelm for the 2012 autumn/winter season. With an outsized form vocabulary, this model’s design and colour scheme constitute the feminine continuation of the collection of colour-mirrored sunglasses jointly developed over the years. The two-tone colour scheme reflects the paradoxical nature of human emotions; it presents two different faces depending on where and with who the wearer is and what mood they’re in. This idea provided the inspiration for the look of the models in the Bernhard Willhelm show; one side of the face remains au naturel, with the other in excessive make-up – a schizophrenic sight.
The division of the frame via diagonals and colour breaks is also a recurring theme in the Bernhard Willhelm autumn/winter collection; black meets white, while orange is contrasted with blue. Corresponding to the collection, ROSI comes in the two-tone orange/yellow version with black tinted lenses. The frame is also available in the monotone versions orange, white, matt black, blue, gold or silver, with mirrored lenses in the same colour.
