A little more than ten years ago, three friends from Denmark, Henrik Ørgreen, Gregers Fastrup and Tobias Wandrup started their own eyewear label, Ørgreen Optics. It’s been a long journey, full of ups and downs. But now the brand enjoys international fame and their eyewear designs are available at stores in 42 countries. So in the end, it pays off to do your own thing and master the challenges along the way. The label offers a wide selection of men’s, women’s and unisex styles. Here’s a closer look at two select models:
With the sharp outlines of the frame and its oversized lenses, the Francis is a unique interpretation of the classic aviator style. The frame is cut by lasers, which lends a clean and distinct outline – understated, but refined and exclusive all at once. Just like all other Ørgreen models, the Francis is 100% handmade. The unisex frames are available in a variety of colors.
With these shades, the Ørgreen designers are presenting their own interpretation of the classic aviator style, crafted from beta titanium. Like all glasses from the Danish eyewear label, the lenses on the Lucian are polarized to shield the eyes from glare. The plain design is spiced up by the temples, featuring an elegantly placed etched pattern.
