A “second identity” – many people have one, but only few are aware of its existence. And those who do happen to be in touch with their alter ego will most likely try to conceal it. But split personalities exude a certain type of charm. All werewolves have one; so do vampires and super heroes like Spiderman, the Hulk and many others. We also know that two selves trapped in the same body will not always get along harmoniously, just think of the kindhearted Dr. Jekyll who happens to inhabit the same body as the monstrous Mr. Hyde. For a more extroverted – and more tragic – case of a schizophrenic personality split, look no further than Harvey Dent, a.k.a. “Two Face.” Because Batman’s arch nemesis is not only split right down the middle into good and evil in terms of his psyche, but also his body. The meticulously groomed district attorney lives right next to the acid-scarred grin of the evil gangster.
