ØRGREEN // Titanium soft edges – A functionalist masterpiece

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1552580581412{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]Ørgreen Optics is pleased to announce the launch of six new titanium frames, for both men and women, coming as tribute to Scandinavian modernism. The new
additions pay homage to Nordic Funkis and the prominent features of Scandinavian urban architecture. In true functionalist style, the collection is crafted with great concern for materials, simplification and technical experimentation.

Ørgreen continues its engagement with Japanese handcraft titanium, and, by rounding the edges of the frames with a milling head, achieves a softer, smoother look, a feature usually only found in acetate frames. All styles are completed with tinted end tips that enhance the front color, and sand blasted or gold nose titanium pads. The clay matte finish confers a contemporary and polished touch to the frames. This approach stays true to Ørgreen’s long-time trademark across its other lines: combining the aesthetics and superior traditions of Scandinavian design and Japanese manufacturing.

plays with 3 contrasting hues, and a tone-in-tone. Honoring the Scandinavian design principles of simplicity, minimalism and creating harmony between the
function and composition, the new styles are named after some of the most iconic landmarks of the modernist current, including the Shell-Haus in Berlin,
Olavi Sortta’s Tilkka, Arne Jacobsen’s Paddehatten and the Everett House, and the prominent Finnish architect and designer Alvar Alto.
